A Jeddah Superdome taxi is simplest when you book two journeys in advance: one from your hotel, or the airport, to the Superdome timed from the doors or registration time on your ticket, and a separate return pickup to a meeting point you agree before the day. The Superdome is a large venue on Madinah Road in the north of Jeddah that can run several events at once, so the booking should name the venue, your event and the entrance your organiser tells you to use, not just the event’s title.
This guide is for concert-goers, exhibition visitors, conference delegates and exhibitors getting to Jeddah Superdome by private car. What and where the Jeddah Superdome is
Saudipedia’s entry on the Jeddah Superdome describes a geodesic dome inaugurated on 9 June 2021, built for events, exhibitions, projects and conferences. It gives the dome’s area as 39,753 square metres, its height as 46 metres and its outer diameter as 220 metres, and records a Guinness World Record for its spider-web-inspired design as the largest dome with a connected roof. Events listed there include music festivals, conferences and motor shows, and the dome was one of the zones of Jeddah Season 2022.
The official Jeddah Superdome website gives the address as Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Road, King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, and places the venue in the north of Jeddah near King Abdullah Sports City. It describes the programme as socio-cultural, recreational and sports events, exhibitions, specialty shows and international conferences.
Three details from Saudipedia matter most for transport:
- It can host four events at the same time. Your event may be one of several running that day.
- It has 16 public entrances, plus a VIP entrance, service entrances and emergency exits.
- It has 5,142 parking spaces, including more than 4,000 for visitors and 88 for people with disabilities. A full event means a great many vehicles leaving at once.
Getting to Jeddah Superdome: name the event, the venue and the entrance
An event title is marketing; the venue is an address. A car booked to a festival name, or to “the dome near the airport”, relies on the driver guessing. Put three things in the booking:
- The venue, typed as Jeddah Superdome in the transfer finder, then checked in the route summary. Our short guide to rechecking the location behind a search result explains why the result matters more than what you typed.
- The event name and date, in the booking notes, so the driver knows which crowd you belong to.
- The entrance or arrival point your ticket or organiser names, if it names one, also in the notes.
With 16 public entrances and up to four events running, two ticket holders at the same venue on the same evening can need very different doors. Where a car may stop on the day is managed by the venue, the organiser and traffic staff. We do not promise a particular gate or drop-off spot, and the driver will follow the directions given on the day. If your organiser publishes a drop-off area for taxis and private cars, copy its wording exactly.
Do not confuse the Superdome with the stadium. Both are in the north of the city, and visitors sometimes use the names loosely. If your ticket says King Abdullah Sports City, that is a different venue and a different booking.
Events at Jeddah Superdome: how the type of event changes your transport
The same venue hosts very different kinds of day. The pattern of arrivals and departures changes with each.

Use the table as a starting point, then read your ticket or delegate pack. The organiser’s timings, not the venue’s general reputation, decide your pickup times.

When to book
Online bookings need at least 48 hours’ notice before pickup. For a concert or conference, book as soon as your ticket or registration is confirmed. A search inside 48 hours returns the message that the journey must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
Setting the pickup time
Work back from the time on your ticket: doors opening, a timed entry slot or conference registration. Allow for security checks at the entrance, finding your hall, and busier roads as an event approaches. We do not quote drive times, because they vary with the hour and with other events in the north of the city. Ask the booking team or your hotel reception if you are unsure, and set the pickup earlier rather than later.
What to put in the booking notes
- the event name, date and hall or entrance, if your ticket gives one;
- a mobile number that works in Saudi Arabia, and a second contact for groups;
- practical needs, such as a folding wheelchair, a pram or exhibition cases.
Keep private ticket codes out of the notes. The driver needs to know where you are going, not your admission barcode.
Flying in for a conference or exhibition
The official address places the Superdome close to King Abdulaziz International Airport, so some delegates fly in on the day and go straight to the venue. That can work for a short visit, but it links the start of your event to your flight’s arrival time.

If you go straight to the venue, count every case in the search, because the results show only vehicle classes that pass the capacity check for your party and luggage. Ask the organiser in advance whether the venue can hold bags; we cannot promise luggage storage. The return pickup: plan it before you go
Most trouble at big venues happens at the end, when crowds leave together. With over 4,000 visitor parking spaces, a sell-out night means a lot of traffic around the venue in a short time.
Choosing the meeting point
Choose a meeting point you can walk to from your hall: the entrance you used, or another point the organiser names for pickups. Write it in the booking notes in the organiser’s words. Agree with your group that everyone goes there, rather than looking for the car in the car park.
Choosing the return time
For a concert, set the return time after the scheduled finish, with a margin for leaving the hall and walking to the meeting point. For a conference, set it after the last session you plan to attend. If you want to avoid the crowd, you can deliberately leave before the end and book the return for that time instead.
Each vehicle class has an included waiting allowance at pickup, but it is not currently shown on search results, and waiting beyond it is not a product we offer. If a delay is likely, ask the booking team to confirm in writing what applies.
After midnight
If your return falls after midnight, it is on the next calendar date. Check the date in the search carefully; the guide to late event pickups explains this in more detail.

Multi-day events and repeat visits
Many events at Jeddah Superdome run over several days: trade shows, conferences, gaming conventions and seasonal programmes. Each day’s travel is its own pair of journeys, and each needs 48 hours’ notice, so book the whole run at once rather than day by day.
A few points make repeat days easier:
- Keep the notes consistent. Copy the same event name, entrance and phone numbers into every booking, so each driver gets the same instructions.
- Change what differs. If you carry cases only on the first and last days, enter them only for those journeys. The capacity check then offers the right vehicle for each day.
- Check each date. It is easy to book day two twice and miss day three. Read the list of bookings in your account against the event programme.
- Returning for a later event. A past journey in your account has a “Book again at today’s price” option, which loads the same route and stops with the price recalculated. It saves retyping the venue for a future visit, but it is still a new booking with the usual 48 hours’ notice.
Worked example: two exhibitors at a three-day trade show
Priya Raman and Tom Ellis are staffing a stand at a three-day trade show at the Superdome. The exhibitor pack gives a set-up session on the first morning, daily opening and closing times, and breakdown after the final day. They are staying at a hotel in the city.
They book six journeys in all, more than a week ahead:
- Hotel to Superdome, day one, early enough for set-up. Two passengers, two large cases of stand materials and two cabin bags. The search offers several classes, and they choose Business and Executive for the extra luggage space.
- Superdome to hotel, day one, after the scheduled close.
- Hotel to Superdome and back, day two, as two journeys with no cases.
- Hotel to Superdome and back, day three, as two journeys with the cases again, and the return set later to allow for breakdown.
In the notes for each journey they add the show name, hall and exhibitor entrance from their pack, and both mobile numbers. At checkout they see the deposit taken online and the cash balance for each driver, and they set aside riyals for all six. Each journey shows Confirmed within the day.
On day two the show’s closing time is moved later. Priya requests a new pickup time from her account for that evening’s return. The request is approved, and the £5 rescheduling fee is added to the cash paid to the driver.
Jeddah Superdome taxi, your own car or an organiser’s shuttle?
A private car is not the only way to reach the venue, and it helps to compare the options honestly before you book.

Saudipedia’s figure of more than 4,000 visitor spaces shows that many people do drive. A pre-booked car suits visitors who do not have one, families who want to be dropped near an entrance rather than walk across a car park, and groups who want everyone to leave together. Some organisers run shuttles from set points; if yours does, check its stops and last departure before relying on it, and remember that our service cannot connect with a shuttle timetable we do not control.
Common mistakes with Superdome journeys
- Booking the event title as the destination. Type the venue and check the route summary; put the event name in the notes.
- Assuming the wrong venue. Superdome and the stadium are separate places with separate bookings.
- Leaving the return until the night. Online bookings need 48 hours’ notice, so a return you only think about at the end cannot be booked online.
- Setting the return at the scheduled finish. Leaving the hall, walking to the meeting point and finding the car all take time.
- Forgetting the date after midnight. A return at 00:30 is on the next calendar day.
- Counting people but not cases. Exhibitors and airport arrivals often carry more than a car for four can hold.
- Sharing a ticket code in the notes. The driver needs the venue and entrance, not your admission barcode.
Families, children and accessibility
Children. Enter every child and infant, and add an infant seat, child seat or booster in the search so it is confirmed for the vehicle. The guide to seats and bags in the results explains how capacity is shown.
Reduced mobility. Saudipedia records 88 parking spaces for people with disabilities, which shows the venue plans for accessible arrivals, but where a taxi can set down is still decided on the day. Add the wheelchair requirement in the search, say in the notes whether the chair folds, and ask the organiser about accessible entrances and seating.
Groups. A large party may need a Toyota Hiace (11 seats) or Coaster minibus (19 seats). If people arrive from different places, separate journeys are usually simpler than one vehicle waiting for everyone.
Booking rules for Superdome journeys
- Payment and status. Payment secures a provisional request. The booking team updates the status within 1 to 12 hours, and a journey is booked only when your account shows it as Confirmed.
- Deposit and cash. Jeddah Cabs may take only a deposit online, with the balance paid in cash to the driver. The checkout shows both amounts.
- Minimum booking value. Each journey has a minimum booking value equivalent to £40.
- Changing the time. From your account, you can request a new pickup time for a paid booking before the pickup time. An approved change carries a £5 fee, converted into your booking currency and added to the cash for the driver; a rejected request costs nothing. Only the time can be changed online: the place, destination, passengers and vehicle cannot.
- Cancelling. Bookings are subject to our cancellation terms (free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before pickup; inside 48 hours the deposit element of the price is kept) if you cancel, including when an event is postponed. If Jeddah Cabs or the transport partner cancels, or cannot supply the journey, and you do not accept a suitable alternative, you receive a full refund for the affected journey. Checklist before you book

- Confirm the venue is the Jeddah Superdome and not King Abdullah Sports City.
- Decide if you are travelling from a hotel or straight from the airport.
- Count passengers, children, infants, large cases and cabin bags.
- Book the outward journey at least 48 hours ahead, timed from doors or registration.
- Book the return to a named meeting point, after the scheduled finish.
- Add the event name, entrance and two mobile numbers to the booking notes.
- Note the cash balance for each driver and carry riyals.
- Wait for every journey to show Confirmed in your account.
